[Juba, South Sudan, TCT] M-Gurush, a rapidly growing mobile money transfer company has won the 2019 Quality Award for best mobile money service provider awarded by the South Sudan National Chamber of Commerce.
The National Chambers of Commerce saw m-Gurush mobile money service scooped the award of the year for its approach of presenting a simple and easy to use platform for carrying out financial transactions such as service payments, airtime top up and money transfer services.
The Chambers of Commerce Quality Award also recognised business companies and personalities for their quality service and efforts towards lasting peace in the country.
Among the privileged personalities who have received this prestigious award, included President Salva Kiir Mayardit who was awarded for his role in ensuring that peace returns to the Republic of South Sudan. Deng Kon was awarded the best businessman of the year while Antipas Nyok was recognised as the best pharmacist of the year.
The colorful event that was organized by the Commerce of Chambers at Crown Hotel also recognized Juba Monitor as the best newspaper of the year in the first category.
The event also distinguished the Nile Commercial Bank as the best bank of the year.
Other winners were 88.4 City FM, the best private radio of the year, Eye Radio the best news anchoring of the year, PG3 logistics won the best logistics company of the year, while Rak Media won the best marketing and printing company of the year. The best hotel of the year was taken by Crown Hotel while Pyramid Hotel became the best investor of the year.
South Sudan National Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture launched the program to award the best performing business companies in the country last August.
During the launch, Simon Akuei Deng, the Secretary General of the Chamber said the program was created to promote companies and follow up direct marketing campaigns with nominees through a case study that would enable them to fit the procedure for selection process.
The quality Awards 2019 was a set to promote a culture of quality service delivery and business excellence in the country.
Best companies in various business engagements who have excelled tremendously in providing high quality services and products to the people of South Sudan were the main target for the award by the chamber’s executive.
Ladu Lukak, the Chairperson of the Chamber during the launch urged the government to invest in good road network to facilitate business activities across the country as it is difficult to operate businesses without good road network.
Lukak congratulated the m-Gurush and applauded its mother company Trinity Energy Ltd for introducing money transfer m–Gurush and giving 10 percent discount in fuel prices.
